I can remember the fist time Vickie reached out to me. She was very excited to be taking some family photos again since the family had not had a chance to do so for a while. She mentioned that the most dificult thing about the shoot was getting her kids to play nice with each other. I had a quick chuckle and assured her that it would not be a problem. She had a nervous laugh after that but she decided to pull the trigger and set up the photoshoot. To be honest, I was a bit nervous on the location she had chosen. It was going to be my first time shooting on a hiking trail and I had no idea know what to expect. I suggested some other locations but Vickie insisted on this location because of sentimental value. What else could I do be agree.
The light was just perfect for the moment, the kids were having plenty of fun playing leap frogg and imagining they were jumping over stream on the hikind trail. All the mean while both Vickie and her husband were just beside themeselves on how much fun everyone was having. At the end of the shoot, she mentioned that she had never had so much fun and that she had never seen her kids get along so well. I highly doubt it was because of me. I think it was just a combination of the location, light, and energy we all brought that made this day so special for everyone.
